Dorothea Hodge, Founding Director
Dorothea Hodge is a former Special Adviser to the Leader of the House of Lords. In a career spanning over 15 years in politics and corporate communications she has provided political counsel to most of the UK Cabinet including the former Prime Minister – The Rt Hon Tony Blair, the current Foreign Secretary – The Rt Hon David Miliband, in addition to advising global brands such as McDonalds & Nokia. Emily Thomas, Founding Director
Emily Thomas is a former Special Adviser to the Chancellor of the Exchequer and has provided expert advice, at the highest levels, to both UK and Canadian government departments and senior ministers on public service transformation and innovation policy and practice. At the Treasury, Emily developed strategies on an extensive range of services and policies including local government, child poverty and health, working closely with voluntary and community sectors, businesses and trade unions. Tamsin Fulton, Senior Associate
Tamsin Fulton is an Associate Consultant with over 10 years experience working in local and regional government. Through applying the principles of service design to meet the needs of both the customer and the business, Tamsin has created award-winning customer-centred services, software, systems and environments.
Central to her work has been the engagement and management of stakeholders and partners in complex change projects spanning public, private and voluntary sector organizations across London. Read more…

Laura Tomlinson, Corporate Senior Consultant
Before joining Aequitas, Laura worked for a leading public policy think tank, managing the events programme at political party conferences and in Westminster. Whilst in this role Laura was responsible for all logistical organisation, securing high level political speakers such as Lord Mandelson, Oliver Letwin and Vince Cable, and directed the communications and marketing strategies. She was also editor of the bi-monthly newsletter. Laura holds a BA Hons in History from Queen Mary, University of London and is finishing her MA in War Studies at King’s College London.

Katy Richardson, Events and Communications Coordinator
Katy holds a BA Hons in Politics, Philosophy and Economics from the University of Oxford where she also managed her college’s events programme and was closely involved in student politics. Before joining Aequitas, she worked for an NGO in India, teaching underprivileged children and adults, and as a fundraiser. Katy also worked as PR and Marketing Assistant for a recently launched food brand.

Sara Toumadj, Policy and Communications Assistant
Prior to joining Aequitas, Sara worked as Team Coordinator for the internationally renowned NGO ‘Peace One Day’. Her role comprised of providing summary reports on their events and press announcements, campaigning for the NGO’s annual International Peace Day event, and co-managing the NGO’s corporate relations. Sara holds an MA in International Studies and Diplomacy from the School of Oriental and African Studies. Her dissertation focused on an in-depth analysis of Iran’s foreign policy. Sara also holds a BA Hons in Hispanic Studies from the University of Nottingham. During her year abroad she lived, studied and worked for an orphanage in Argentina.

Harvir Mattu, Policy and Communications Assistant
Harvir has a First Class BSc in Business Administration and Politics from Aston University and an MSc in Development Studies from the London School of Economics. Prior to joining Aequitas she spent time volunteering in a refugee camp in Kenya. Harvir has experience of working in the not-for-profit and financial sectors.

It’s always a challenge to come up with a descriptive name that captures the essence of a business. Aequitas was a Roman goddess of equality and fairness in trade, which we believe reflects our ethical approach to our work.
